"In today's global economy, the most successful engineering professionals rely on the knowledge which is a combination of technical engineering depth and managerial fundamentals. There is no academic major that acquires these skills better than Industrial and Management Systems Engineering (IMSE). Engineers, who are equipped with management tools, can quickly adapt to organizations and are able to perceive problems as well as improvement areas in any system. Industrial and Management Systems Engineering at Kuwait University prepares the students in such areas as Quality Engineering and Management, Productivity and Logistics Engineering, Ergonomics and Safety Engineering, and Engineering Economical Decisions. In addition to a set of required courses, IMSE students can tailor their specialization by taking several elective courses of their interest offered by the department. A senior design course at the end of the program helps the students to perfect their abilities in such areas as engineering design, communication skills, and team work skills."
